Position Overview

We are looking for hardworking, dependable individuals who are motivated to learn and build a career in the commercial fencing industry. This position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop valuable skills while working as part of a professional installation team.

 

Fence Installers will install a wide variety of fencing systems for our commercial and industrial customers. Projects vary in size and scope, providing opportunities to gain experience in construction, equipment operation, fence installation, and job-site safety.

 

Previous construction or fencing experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow.

 

Responsibilities:

• Install commercial and industrial fencing systems, including digging post holes, setting posts in concrete, assembling fence components, and handling materials safely and efficiently.

• Safely load, unload, and transport fence materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.

• Work as part of an installation crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and according to company and customer expectations.

• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer-specific safety requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

• Learn to safely operate, inspect, and maintain construction equipment and tools used in commercial fence installation.

• Perform other construction and installation duties as assigned.

 

Equipment & Tools:

This position involves the operation of a variety of small equipment, power tools, and hand tools, including:

• Drills

• Saws

• Cement and mortar mixers

• Pavement breakers and jackhammers

• Other tools and equipment used in commercial fence installation

 

Employees may also be trained to operate heavy equipment, including:

• Tractors

• Forklifts

• Augers

• Skid steers

• Other construction equipment

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of construction experience is preferred.

• Commercial fencing experience is a plus but not required.

• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to safely lift, carry, and position fencing materials and equipment.

• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.

• Must be willing and able to meet all company and customer safety requirements.

• Must pass a background check and hair follicle drug screen as a condition of employment.

• Must be TWIC Card eligible.
